About the Author
Jerry Evanski has been a teacher and school administrator at all levels K-12. He has written several books and has taught at the university level for many years. He has been conducting workshops for Discipline Associations and for The Teacher Learning Center for the past two decades. He created and teaches the Brain Research in Education certification program at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. The video he created about the program won two Telly Awards in 2005. He is also a trained facilitator for Super Camp, which is an internationally known accelerated learning program. His current research is focused on identifying and correcting potential visual, auditory, and kinesthetic blocks to learning. Evanski received his master's degree in music education, his educational specialist and his doctorate degree in general administration and supervision from Wayne State University.

Practical Tips for Any Teacher

This book is packed full of practical strategies that can be used in the classroom. The strategies are easy to implement, too. Little or no props required. While reading this I kept getting those "A-ha" moments because it just makes sense. Evanski does a great job of labeling the ingredients of an energetic lesson. I have seen this man teach and he definitely practices what he preaches.

This is one of the best books for teachers to have. It's detailed and specific on the important things teachers in general should know and do with their students. I loved it and would recommend it to all who are in the profession.

Great speaker & great book!

I use what I was able to quickly write down from the first time I heard him speak, and today I have downloaded the book (to my Kindle) but I have yet to read it. I have heard Dr. Evanski speak on 2 separate occasions. He is an amazingly gifted speaker and never seems to run out of energy! His ideas are simple and easy to implement in any classroom; with a few students or as he does, up to 200 in some instances! He understands what its like to be in a classroom and he practices what he preaches! Please keep sharing Dr. Evanski by writing your books and doing your presentations.
